The Final Shortlist for AMW.3: The LOST / FOUND Issue has been decided…
After receiving a record number of submissions for this issue, we’d like to thank every writer who took the time and effort to send us a piece of writing for consideration.
It’s been a long, interesting process and has stimulated much discussion within the team. We are very pleased with how the issue has come together and delighted at the strength and variety of writing on show.
This year, our aim was to improve and develop the magazine to try and give more writers, established or first-time, more opportunity to be read and enjoyed. We’ve tweaked the design quite a lot, improved readability and layout, as well as having it supported by the website.
But the biggest change has been the size. We’ve gone from 48 pages in AMW.1&2 to approximately 100 for this issue and we hope that this issue sets the trend for the rest of the year.
So, after several weeks of meetings, we are delighted to announce the final shortlist:
John Kay / HAIRY
James Hatton / THE PORTRAIT
Denise Roosendaal / HIDDEN THINGS
Adam Foster / THE PIT
Jim Bates / THE JUMP & MIX TAPE
EFS Byrne / WHAT A DAY
Michael Tuberdyke / TIM
Gemma Meek / THE OTHER WORLD
Maya Pieris / SUGAR & SPICE
Mickey J. Corrigan / CARELESS
Rachael Nazzaro / RUNHAPPY
Robin Wrigley / HE/SHE
Daniel Ross / LIFE ON THE ROUGH SEAS
Mileva Anastasiadou / NEO(N) FAIRYTALE
Ian Zerafa / HEARTS OF STONE pt.1
Abi Nuttall / THE BOY WITH THE CIGARETTES
Thanks to all the writers who submitted, not just the ones who were selected.
No submissions = no magazine.
